Nesta is a research and innovation foundation. We apply our deep expertise in applied methods to design, test and scale solutions to some of the biggest challenges of our time, working across the innovation lifecycle.
Content Development Officer, Innovation Skills
James was a content development officer for the Innovation Skills team.
Before Nesta, he spent five years as a researcher and assistant producer making, developing and collaborating on documentaries for the BBC and Channel 4. Work taking him across the globe; filming in a Manchester STI clinic; India’s largest wholesale food market and the ancient customs of an indigenous community in Papua New Guinea.
After working in TV, James completed a Masters in Cities and Society from Goldsmiths University, looking at civic engagement in local government. He also worked at the consultancy BOP as a researcher/filmmaker on projects across policy in the creative sector and as a field researcher for the market research agency, Ipsos MORI.
We extend our impact through two specialised units that help people and organisations to solve complex problems and achieve their goals.
