Programme Manager
Emma managed the Digital R&D Fund for the Arts on behalf of the partner organisations Arts Council England and the Art and Humanities Research Council.
She has over 16 years’ experience working in the commercial digital media sector, the public arts sector and more recently in arts funding.
After completing her MA in Digital Arts at Middlesex University in 1997 Emma combined her interests in art and technology in a career that has included work at the Millennium Dome, The Institute of Contemporary Arts, OgilvyAction , The Wellcome Trust and the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation.
She has been invited onto judging panels for media art competitions, has spoken at international conferences and has written about the sector for industry publications.
In 2012 Emma was invited to join the board of the art organisation motiroti as a non-executive director. motiroti create art and cultural projects, utilising technology, that provide voice, visibility, connectivity and opportunity to migrant communities within the UK and cities around the world.
We extend our impact through two specialised units that help people and organisations to solve complex problems and achieve their goals.
BIT helps clients from government, nonprofits and the private sector to improve people’s lives through our empirical problem solving and deep understanding of human behaviour.
Challenge Works designs and runs challenge prizes to spark innovation in science, technology and society.
