Nesta is a research and innovation foundation. We apply our deep expertise in applied methods to design, test and scale solutions to some of the biggest challenges of our time, working across the innovation lifecycle.
Senior Foresight Analyst
Ed was a senior foresight analyst within Nesta’s Discovery Hub. He looked for novel technologies and emerging trends relevant to Nesta’s programmes.
Before joining Nesta Ed worked for Oxentia, a commercialisation consultancy and spinout from Oxford University Innovation. At Oxentia he focused on technology transfer, helping universities, academics, businesses and foundations better understand the markets for their early stage intellectual property. Ed also worked on technology scouting projects, identifying innovative technologies for major pharmaceutical and oil and gas companies. He also carried out entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem analyses in the UK and South East Asia.
Before Oxentia Ed worked for a strategy consultancy performing market entry and analysis projects for FTSE 250 and Fortune 500 companies in retail, engineering and healthcare.
He studied biology at University College London and Oxford University. Away from work Ed enjoys tennis, cycling and (when possible) scuba diving.
