Nesta is a research and innovation foundation. We apply our deep expertise in applied methods to design, test and scale solutions to some of the biggest challenges of our time, working across the innovation lifecycle.
Policy Adviser, Future of Work
Based in Nesta's Research, Analysis and Policy team, Charles conducted policy analysis regarding the impact of technology on work and jobs.
He supported a number of projects across Nesta, including Digital Frontrunners, an active network of 300+ future of work experts, policymakers and practitioners and FutureFit, a major training and research project involving unions, researchers and learning experts. Both programmes are based in the Nordics and Benelux, though the network spans across Europe and includes other international innovation hubs. In partnership with unions, FutureFit is focused on upskilling and resklling workers at risk of job displacement - and doing innovative, robust research about 'what works'.
Charles also completed an Innovation, Public Policy and Public Value MPA at UCL, and has extensive experience working in Canada on a range of innovation policy issues.
We extend our impact through two specialised units that help people and organisations to solve complex problems and achieve their goals.
BIT helps clients from government, nonprofits and the private sector to improve people’s lives through our empirical problem solving and deep understanding of human behaviour.
