Data Science Research Fellow
Antonio was a Data Science Research Fellow at Nesta, working in the Policy and Research team. He is interested in the analysis of complex datasets and the modelling of human behaviour. Twitter: @themiurgoWebsite: https://themiurgo.github.io/website
Before joining Nesta, Antonio completed a PhD in Computer Science at the University of Birmingham, UK. His thesis analysed the use of digital traces generated by smartphones and online social networks to gain useful insights into people's mobility and interaction patterns.
Antonio's research interests include complex networks, human mobility and data mining. He has spent one year at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology funded by the prestigious Charles Vest Scholarship. He has also spent an internship period at Telefónica Research in Barcelona.
In his free time, Antonio is likely to be found drinking an espresso, planning another visit to his beloved Sicily or listening to new albums.
