Senior Design Lead, Design & Technology
Alasdair is senior design lead at Nesta.
He oversees innovation projects in our three missions, supports teams to use design effectively and builds design capabilities across the organisation.
After joining Nesta in 2021 he worked as design lead for the sustainable future mission, leading the design and delivery of Nesta’s visit a heat pump service from concept to nationwide launch, as well as several innovation partnerships prototyping and testing new solutions to support home decarbonisation in the UK.
Prior to Nesta he led a wide range of strategic design projects across non-profit and commercial sectors, including for the Museum of London, Ravensbourne University, King’s Health Partners, Allianz and PayPal. He is also behind several creative projects which have received international media coverage and are held in museum collections, spanning graphic works for Japanese retailers to reviving long-lost EU merchandise.
