Reducing home carbon emissions is one of the biggest policy challenges facing the UK over the next decade.

Nesta has published a policy plan for home heating outlining the full set of policies we think are essential to set the UK on a path to fully decarbonising home heating over the next 25 years.

Our policy plan has six key elements:

3. Phasing out fossil fuel heating
4. Delivering the heat transition at scale
5. Increasing public understanding and supporting consumers through the transition
6. Growing the heating industry and workforce
