Nesta hosted a lunch time event with Professor Howard Gardner, Hobbs Professor of Cognition and Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Professor Gardner is a recipient of the MacArthur Prize Fellowship, the University of Louisville Grawemeyer Award in Education, and the Prince of Asturias Award for Social Sciences. He is a leading thinker about education and human development and has studied and written extensively about intelligence, creativity, leadership, and professional ethics. His recent books include: Good Work, Changing Minds, The Development and Education of the Mindand Multiple Intelligences: New Horizons. His latest book Truth, Beauty, and Goodness Reframed was published in the spring of 2011.

At this Nesta event, Howard Gardner reported on a study of the ways in which young people in America today differ from those of earlier decades, with particular attention to the digital landscape. He offered ideas about how education in secondary school and university might be reframed in light of these findings.
