Nesta, in partnership with the Scottish and Northern Ireland Plumbing Employers’ Federation (SNIPEF), has trialled a pioneering project testing whether giving newly-trained installers a heat pump to install in their own homes leads to a more successful journey to offering heat pump installations in their career. Come along to hear about the results and findings - and plans on scaling this across the country.

Nesta’s nationwide ‘Visit a heat pump’ scheme has seen more than 900 hosts sign up to the platform with over 1800 visits having taken place across the UK. The scheme involves heat pump owners opening up their doors to guests interested in what it’s like getting and living with a heat pump. Installers are already using this free service to showcase their best installs - find out more about the scheme and how it could help grow your business.

Taking the first step from gas or oil to installing heat pumps can feel daunting. From perfecting the system design to handling paperwork, there are lots of parts to get right. In this talk, Nesta’s sustainable future mission manager, Codrina Cretu, is joined by a panel of Kevin Pocock (The HVAC Consultancy ltd), Adam Gilhespy (Carno) and Tej Patel (Renbee) – where they will be sharing their top tips to developing confidence in your journey within the heat pump sector.
