We use a recruitment platform called Applied to reduce bias in selection. When you apply, you will be asked to answer a few work-based questions. Your responses will go through a blind sift process and will be anonymously marked by members of our team.

Progression to the next stage is based on your scores for these questions, rather than your CV – so please try your best to provide responses that don’t rephrase your CV details.

Candidates with the top-scoring answers will be asked to complete a work-based task remotely and invited to a structured interview where you get to meet some of the team. At the interview stage, you will be asked questions that reflect the technical and professional competencies we consider critical to the role and it’s at this stage we first see your CV.

You may be asked to complete a work-based task remotely. Depending on the role, you may also be asked to complete a second interview that will be focused on our Nesta values and culture.

We always give all applicants feedback, no matter what stage your application reaches.

You can find out more about the principles behind the blind review process via the Applied website.
