Building on Nesta’s ‘The Future of Skills: Employment in 2030’ report, these resources unpack how employment is likely to change and the implications for skills. To produce these resources, Nesta partnered with Young Citizens, an education charity working to help educate, inspire and motivate the active citizens of tomorrow.

Who would find this resource useful?
This resource will be useful for secondary classroom teachers and careers advisors, who want to give young people a better understanding of the key skills and knowledge that are likely to be important in the future world of work. It also unpacks some of the occupation areas that are likely to grow and shrink as a share of the workforce.

What does this resource include?

• A one-hour lesson plan which has been structured into short modules for flexible delivery in tutor time or PSHE. This includes an optional extension activity in the form of a research task
