Marco was Head of European Development and worked on developing a coherent European strategy for Nesta to expand the organisation's European reach and core partnerships. He also contributed to the initial set-up of Challenge Prize Centre, and led most of the Centre's European work.

Prior to Nesta, Marco worked for OmniCompete, managing the execution of prize competitions in a wide range of sectors for both the public sector and industry.

He also worked for the Enterprise Europe Network (EU Commission - DG Enterprise and Industry) within the London Chamber of Commerce where he provided advice to SMEs on EU issues and opportunities.

Marco completed his BSc and MSc in Economics and Management in Italy and holds an MSc in European Political Economy from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
