Automation isn’t something that’s looming on the horizon – for many, it’s already here.

We interviewed six people who have either led a team through increasing automation in the workplace, or who have experienced the automation of their job first-hand, to reveal the impact it had on their work, job security and personal life.

We found that, done well, automation can empower employees and free up time to spend on more interesting tasks, and also improve business outcomes. But others have been left behind by rapidly changing technology, either facing repeated redundancies or struggling to get a job altogether.
