Winning hearts and minds: participatory futures and behaviour change - 16 Jun 2021 17:00 – 17:40

In order to hit our climate goals we need to change behaviours, bring people together and avoid polarisation. As the world struggles with increased complexity and uncertainty, this panel brings together artists and the latest research from the field of collective intelligence to explore how we can engage people to imagine - and create - more sustainable and inclusive futures. The session will explore a range of ideas and methods that bring together communities and the wider public to debate and create collective visions for the futures they desire. We'll hear about big data x art that helps us to visualise climate change and explore new worlds through massive online games or art installations, AI agents that help groups to avoid disaster in group decisions about collective risk and simulations or models that help us examine the trade-offs between different scenarios.
