Are you a visual artist who works with data? Would you like to explore creativity as a catalyst for inspiring curiosity and social impact? 

Join us at Nesta for a three-to-four month paid artist residency (part-time, starting in September 2025) where you can explore big ideas in innovation and bring together artistic practice with data sets relating to some of the UK’s most important social challenges.

1. Tell us about your artistic practice and why you would be a good fit for this opportunity. In particular, we are interested to hear why and how you incorporate data into your creative work (500 words max).
2. What specific skills and experience would you bring to the residency?  (250 words max)
3. A link to your website and/or online showcase or portfolio including up to 10 relevant projects with:
   1. brief descriptions of the work
   2. who supported or commissioned it, and
   3. details of where they have been seen.
