Policymakers increasingly recognise that many of the solutions to major social challenges - from tackling climate change to improving public health - need to be much more local. We need solutions that engage communities in taking action, especially given the pressure on government finances over the next few years.

The Mass Localism report revealed why we need to rethink our approach to galvanising communities and the benefits that could result.
