Nesta has been working with BEIS, the UK Science Park Association and artificial intelligence software provider Synoptica to create a publicly available database of accelerators and incubators in the UK.

This database provides entrepreneurs with valuable information about programmes and facilities to which they can apply. The findings from which were summarised in a report.

This event was specifically designed for policymakers, academics and incubator or accelerator managers to debate the most important insights from our new study and discuss what should be done to further support business incubation and acceleration in the UK.

Accelerators and incubators support young firms through the early and fragile stages of growth. This support can – in theory – increase survival rates and, in turn, this has consequences for job creation, regional development, innovation and economic growth.

Registration opened at 17.30 with the event starting at 18.00, followed by networking drinks until 20.00.
