Analyst, sustainable future mission
Shaan joins Nesta as an analyst for the sustainable future team.
Shaan joined Nesta from Friends of the Earth, an environmental campaigning organisation where he was the Digital Mobilisation Officer. In this role, he managed the organisation’s online mass-mobilisation tools and activity, advised campaign teams on their digital campaigning tactics, evaluated the impact of digital interventions and designed tests investigating how to make online activism tools more engaging for the public and impactful on decision-makers.
Prior to this Shaan was a Campaigns Officer at Friends of the Earth. He worked on national-level campaigns about climate change and protecting the UK’s environmental laws from being weakened by Brexit.
Shaan holds a BSc in Psychology from the University of Warwick and an MSc in Environmental Sustainability from the University of Edinburgh and he's particularly interested in projects that combine these disciplines. When not at work he enjoys playing the guitar, yoga, swimming, photography, bouldering and exploring the outdoors.
