Lourdes Valencia Torres

Lourdes joins Nesta's healthy life team as an experienced behavioural scientist seconded from the Behavioural Insights Team.

With a strong academic background in experimental psychology (BSc) and behavioural neuroscience (PhD), she brings valuable expertise to her role.

Lourdes has successfully led and contributed to numerous research projects. She has designed effective behavioural solutions in areas such as public health, employment, financial behaviour, gender equality, social care, homelessness and sustainability. Her contributions have been recognized, including being named one of Mexico's most powerful women by Forbes magazine in 2017 for her research in neuroscience and obesity.

In her free time, Lourdes enjoys participating in swim run events and swimming in the invigorating North Sea.
