What I do
Carrie is a Programme Manager in the Innovation Lab working on the Second Half Fund. She previously worked on the Centre for Social Action Innovation Fund to support social innovations to scale their reach and grow their impact.
Carrie started her career as a business improvement manager in the public sector, with a number of years working at the Ministry of Justice. Prior to joining Nesta, Carrie spent over six years as a consultant working with charities and social enterprises to develop their organisations to achieve greater impact, with five years at the National Council for Voluntary Organisations, followed by a year as an independent consultant. She has worked with hundreds of organisations from large national charities to develop their governance or strategy, to small startup organisations initially developing their idea and business proposition.
Carrie is particularly interested in people helping people within communities and volunteers as a trustee of City and Hackney Mind and the Halcrow Foundation, as well as with a number of social care projects, such as Magic Me's fabulous Cocktails in Care Homes.
