Programme Coordinator, Challenge Works
She/Her
Alex works as a programme coordinator at Challenge Works, supporting the delivery of the Manchester Prize and Aqualunar Challenge.
Before joining the Challenge Works team, she worked as a coordinator on the catalyst team at the Royal Society of Arts. Here she managed the Catalyst Awards programme, which provided fellows support to test the real-world potential of early-stage projects and grow existing established projects.
She worked as an NHS booking administrator during the pandemic to manage appointments for individuals requiring urgent eye care and was a campaign volunteer for a human rights organisation carrying out participatory research for people seeking asylum.
She holds a BEng in Industrial Design with a year in China from Liverpool University and an MA in Humanitarianism and Conflict Response from the University of Manchester.
Outside of work, you can find Alex at the cinema or trying to propagate yet another umbrella plant.
