Zolt Asta lives and works in Budapest and London. He trained at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest and between 2000 2015 he exhibited in several international galleries and institutions across Europe. His focus is on conceptual videos, photographs, and installations relating to several topics such as historical memories, consumer society and science.
Zolt’s aim to investigate the role of the human soul in today's technocratic society. During the Renaissance period the centre of the universe was located in people, but he feels that it seems to have been replaced by the instruments of consumer society. Zolt explores how the human presence can disappear; believing it still manifests but in a more hidden and coded way. He depicts these coded and hidden situations by using various media.
