What I do

Rory is the fellow for Clackmannanshire Council, for our Open Data Scotland programme.

After graduating from University of Strathclyde's MSc. in Environmental Entrepreneurship, Rory became a self-employed software developer focusing on web and mobile applications. His work has seen him consult for a variety of start-up companies, helping them take early stage concepts to market.

In early 2013, Rory founded 'Cleanweb Scotland', one of a growing number of global communities interested in applying internet technologies to sustainability problems. Along with talk nights and networking events, the Cleanweb community was involved in running a 'Startup Weekend', business launch competition. The event was one of the first ever to be sustainability themed and saw over 90 participants, judges, and coaches attend.
