What I do

Polly has joined Nesta as a Design and Workshop Support Intern, working alongside the People Powered Results team within the Health Lab. She will be assisting the team by collating and creating learning materials as well as participating in the delivery of workshops.

After completing a textiles and surface design degree focussing on repurposing waste materials during the production of maize, Polly continues to develop ways to eliminate damaging agricultural activities simultaneously providing an extra income for farmers and developing communities worldwide.

Polly has completed an internship in Brazil with social entrepreneur and designer, Flavia Amadeu. Since being back in England, she has been working at SCIN material library as a researcher.

Outside of work, you can find Polly exploring new places and creative activities. With a passion for the outdoors and eager for a challenge, she is a bit of a geek when it comes to future materials and sustainable design and is always willing to share a fun fact.
