What I do

Laura is Head of Volunteering at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. She has a BA Hons, PG Dips in community development and integrative arts psychotherapy and is an accredited performance development coach. She moved into the NHS following a career in advocacy, campaigning and service-user involvement in the charities sector. With practices based in co-design, her career interests have spanned service-user led services in the domestic violence sector and she has built a grass roots social action movement - Breast Cancer Advocacy Network - to deliver national breast cancer policy in localities across England and Wales.

Professionally, Laura's interests include social action in public services, co-design and impact volunteering, while her personal campaigning interests include national and local policy on autism in early years, and missing people. Voluntary roles include Trustee of the Arts & Sports Trust, while her personal interests include dance theatre, women’s poetry, drinking excellent coffee and the delivery of Team Neve – an immersive autism treatment programme for her daughter.
