What I do

Joanna's main role at Nesta will be to coordinate and manage the internal events at our venue 58VE ranging from roundtable discussions, workshops to conferences for 120-180 people. Joanna will also support and be involved with some of Nesta's larger events.

Biography

Joanna's career started as a casting assistant for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic ceremonies and has been a part of the events industry for over five years including gaining a degree in Events Management. The events have varied and have included events in the fields of art, cultural, not-for-profit and corporate.
 
Joanna was recently an event assistant at the British Council before venturing in to the world of self-employment by opening her own coffee shop in Brockley, brought about by a perceived gap in the market for family-friendly spaces that allow children to be themselves and parents and carers to actually socialise with other adults.
 
In the spare time Joanna gets, she enjoys catching up on Hollyoaks and Made in Chelsea - a guilty pleasure. She also enjoys going to the gym and reading.
