What I do

Jane is the Evidence Fellow leading on initiatives to champion evidence use in social policy and practice, to ensure that Nesta's research influences the target audiences in central and local government, charities, professional groups and frontline public services.  


Jane is a mixed methods researcher with over 25 years’ experience including designing and managing complex large scale national evaluations.

Her career began in academia at the Centre for Applied Legal Research and since then her roles have included Head of Policy Research at NatCen Social Research, Deputy Director of the National Academy for Parenting Research, Head of Research for Which?/Consumers’ Association and Senior Policy Researcher at the Arts Council of England.
More recently Jane has been working for a specialist futures forecasting agency. She has a degree in Economics and a PhD in Law.
