Physicist and Oceanographer


Dr Helen Czerski is a physicist and oceanographer based at University College London. Her research interests are the optics and acoustics of ocean bubbles, the structure of the bubble plumes caused by breaking waves, and the influence of ocean bubbles on the atmosphere. Her expertise covers both laboratory experiments and ship-based measurements out at sea.        

Helen regularly presents science documentaries for the BBC and writes about science, including a science column for Focus magazine.

I am backing the campaign for flight to be chosen as the challenge of the Longitude Prize 2014 - let's make carbon-free flight take off!
