What I do

Dr Ceri Jones is an Occupational Psychologist, a Senior Research Fellow at Y Lab - the Public Services Innovation Lab for Wales at Cardiff University - and an NIHR Knowledge Mobilisation Fellow. She has spent a number of years in the health service in organisational development and patient safety, with a focus on collaborative applied research and innovation, knowledge brokering and mobilisation.

Ceri's research and practice has involved co-designing innovations and quality improvement projects with academic colleagues and frontline clinicians to improve patient safety and patient outcomes. She has also designed and delivered human factors and quality improvement training to frontline staff. More recently she has been conducting cross sector research to inform policy; looking at how to build individual and organisational resilience and recovery across healthcare, education and the criminal justice system. Previous roles have included leading on a number on industry funded collaborations and European Commission funded projects on occupational safety and health for European policy audiences.

In the first of a series of blogs looking at the four thematic areas of interest for Innovate to Save, Ceri Jones, Senior Research Fellow at Y Lab, takes a look at the challenges and opportunities surrounding social prescribing in Wales.
