Policy Communications Officer, Policy Evidence Centre (PEC)
Billy is Nesta's Stakeholder Relations Officer
His role will be to support Nesta to develop, nurture and exploit its stakeholder relationships, particularly in relation to opinion formers, businesses and political audiences, so that Nesta has greater influence.
Prior to Nesta, Billy worked for the organisation formerly known as the Big Lottery Fund (now the National Lottery Community Fund).
He has a wide range of interests across politics and policy and has previously worked on reports on social media and young people’s mental health, preventative approaches to babies' health and how we can use ideas around citizenship to build socially integrated communities.
Billy also runs a community football club, called Terrible Football, which organises free park football games for people of all abilities, in cities around the world. Think of it as the ParkRun for casual footballers. They have just started a new group in Taiwan!
Billy is also really into old ruins and other ancient stuff, he is also a dungeon master (DM) for a party of DnD adventurers.
