This report shares our experiences of supporting open data in Scottish public services through the Open Data Scotland programme which has now ended.

We are pleased that the four local authorities in Scotland (Edinburgh, Aberdeen, East Lothian and Clackmannanshire) have gained from this project and are continuing to grow their work in this area.

The report emphasises the need for an eco-system to be established. It's not simply about the data or the technology, it's about the culture shift required to support data being opened up and used to support civic life. Our thanks go to our many partners who made this possible.
