Digital Education Showcase
At Nesta, we’re big believers in the power of technology for social good. We think there’s huge potential for innovation when technology is applied to learning, in terms of both what and how young people learn.
Over the last three years, we’ve backed more than 20 organisations from across the UK who have come up with some fantastically innovative ways to apply technology to education.
We’ve focused our attention on two main areas spanning initiatives in sectors ranging from the arts to the education tech industry and digital skills. These are:
- Developing digital creativity: educating young people in how to manipulate and create with technology, and using digital technology to engage young people with creativity, innovation skills and the arts.
- Technology in education: supporting and scaling technological innovations that improve educational attainment - in school or through informal learning channels.
Our support of these has included: funding, building evidence of impact, scaling innovation capabilities and contributing knowledge and research to the fields we are working in. We’re proud to be working in partnership with these inspiring organisations. Below you’ll find a taste of what they’re up to.
