Our digital environments are increasingly flooded with misinformation, from deliberate manipulation of “facts” to the creation of sophisticated deep fake videos. As this content grows in volume, we ask if it’s possible to design detection systems that draw on the best of humans and machines to get rid of the noise? Will the “good AI” outpace the development of the bad? How might we use each attack to continuously learn and improve our ability to spot the facts from the fiction?
