Yannis Pierrakis
Yannis Pierrakis - Investments Research Manager
Yannis joined NESTA in August 2007. He establishes links with the work of NESTA's Policy & Research Unit. He also ensures that knowledge and expertise is shared between the two teams.
Before joining NESTA, Yannis was based in Luxembourg where he was the Project Manager of the INNO Policy Trendchart project. He coordinated a network of national correspondents in 39 countries, which monitor innovation policy measures in their countries.
He also worked in the Innovating Regions of Europe (IRE) Network Secretariat as an Expert and a Coordinator of a working group on Effective Regional Innovation Systems. Prior to that, Yannis worked as a Research Associate at the Observatory of Innovation, Cardiff Business School.
Yannis studied in Greece, Italy and the UK. He holds an MSc in European Regional Development from the Department of City and Regional Planning from Cardiff University.
