NESTA seeks to identify successful models for encouraging innovation in the creative economy.

We are interested in projects that:

  • Help develop new business models in creative sectors;
  • Identify barriers to growth and test models that overcome these;
  • Bring creative activities together with business understanding to focus on innovation or growth;
  • Encourage large organisations to use creative talent as a way of driving innovation;
  • Use user-led and open innovation techniques to develop creative businesses;
  • Focus on the role of arts and culture for innovation and entrepreneurship in the creative economy.

We don't normally consider creative business ideas on an individual basis. However, you may benefit from participating in one of NESTA’s current Creative Economy schemes.

Creative business projects seeking direct investment may want to consider NESTA Investments.
