Invitation to Tender – Measuring Innovation in the UK
We’re commissioning a small number of projects that will form part of the UK’s Innovation Index.
The Innovation Index project aims to create a new set of indicators which measure the innovation that previously went uncounted in both the public and private sectors. This invitation will focus on the private sector.
We’re inviting applications from organisations interested in pursuing work in the following strands:
- Innovation growth accounting: Measuring investment in innovation and its contribution to productivity growth, linking it to the national accounts.
- Measuring firm-level innovation performance: Develop and produce accurate indicators of innovation for six areas of the UK economy.
- Wider framework conditions for innovation: Map, measure, examine and judge the health of the 'wider conditions' found to be the most significant drivers of UK innovative capacity.
- Measuring user-led innovation: Develop and implement a methodology to measure the amount of user-led innovation being performed in the UK by different types of users.
