What I do
Nina was Digital Content Editor for the Centre for Challenge Prizes within Nesta's Innovation Lab. She created and managed content for the Centre's digital platforms, in particular for the £10million Longitude Prize. Her work raised awareness about the societal issues underpinning the various challenge prizes, including antimicrobial resistance, inclusive technology and social innovation.
Prior to joining Nesta, Nina was communications manager at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, where she communicated research on tropical diseases and helped deliver overseas training courses to build local capacity in disease mapping across Africa. Before that, she worked in publishing for entertainment brands, mainly film and TV.
In her spare time she is a freelance writer with pieces ranging from sci-fi to malaria, and her broadcast stints include a BBC Radio 4 programme on space music. She is passionate about wildlife conservation and enjoys anything involving animals.
She has an MA in Global Media from Goldsmiths.
