What I do

Morbhen was Team Coordinator for Nesta in Scotland.

She supported a range of different programmes in Scotland including Digital Education, Digital Research and Development Fund for Arts and Culture in Scotland and Make It Local Scotland and was also responsible for sales of our Creative Enterprise Toolkit, a collection of practical tools and resources to aid creative startups. 

Biography

Morbhen joined the Scotland team from the education sector and holds an MSc in Information Technology from the University of St. Andrews and an MA in Literary Studies from Glasgow University.

At the University of Dundee’s spectacular new Discovery Centre , Nesta’s Spotlight on the Longitude Prize, in partnership with BioDundee , brought together some of Scotland’s leading thinkers and experts to discuss how we can tackle the problem of anti-microbial resistance (AMR) and to discuss why Scotland, and Dundee in particular, is well-placed to win the Longitude Prize.

There has been a surge in crowdfunding in the UK and Europe. From 2012 – 2013 crowdfunding grew 618% as a way of raising money for a new project.
