What I do

Kerstin is Head of the Office for Statistics Regulation’s office in Scotland and is responsible for a UK-wide programme exploring the public value of statistics on particular themes. She is two years into a three year secondment to the OSR from the Department for International Development. There she has held a number of roles in statistics and evaluation over more than 10 years. 


Immediately prior to joining OSR, Kerstin was based in Nairobi for three years running a team responsible for a range of cross cutting functions including monitoring and evaluation of DFID’s Kenya and Somalia programmes. Kerstin previously worked as a research director at the Scottish Centre for Social Research and on social surveys at the UK’s Office for National Statistics. She has a degree in geography from the University of Southampton and an MSc. in ecological economics from the University of Edinburgh.
