What I do
Jared is a guest researcher in the Policy & Research department at Nesta. His research looks at the history of debates around the effect of automation on the economy and labour market.
Alongside his research for Nesta, Jared is finishing up his Doctoral thesis at Imperial College London. His thesis looks at science programming on BBC radio from 1945 to 1970, and examines how the relationship between the BBC and the world of science changed over that period. Though they diminish his savings and expand his waistline, Jared enjoys craft beer, artisanal bread, single-origin filter coffee, and all cheeses save American cheese. He also enjoys the Oxford comma.
