What I do
Helen is the Wales lead for the Alliance for Useful Evidence.
Helen's background is in the third and public sectors. In the third sector Helen developed an interest in community development and regeneration and set up a successful regeneration programme from scratch in an area that had previously had little development.
She also worked on Local Service Board development where she helped develop engagement strategy and build links with third sector organisations. She spent three years working on policy research at the National Assembly for Wales as a Head of Office prior to coming to Nesta. Helen has also spent time teaching English as a foreign language in Morocco.
Helen has a Bsc in Politics and International Relations and a Diploma in Management and Leadership. She is currently completing an Masters in European Governance and Public Policy at Cardiff University.
When she's not trying to keep up with her pet whippet on long mountain walks, Helen likes to practice yoga, grow vegetables in her garden and plan her next travel adventure.
