Lewis Williams

What I do

Lewis is the Founding Director of the Koru International Network, an Associate Professor at the University of Southern Queensland and a Visiting Fellow of the Centre for Global Studies at the University of Victoria, Canada. 


Dr. Williams is a scholar-researcher, educator and social innovator. She aims to bridge scholarship with socially innovative approaches to human-environmental issues in ways that draw on intercultural and inter-disciplinary approaches.

Lewis holds a PhD in Social and Cultural Studies from Massey University and a Masters Degree in Public Health from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. Beyond her academic roles, she is an Executive Board member of both the Society for Human Ecology and the Canadian Peace Research Association
