What I do
David was the fellow for East Lothian Council for our Open Data Scotland programme.
Educated at Abertay University, David gained an Honours degree in computer games technology in the inaugural year of this degree. He has worked in the games industry for the past ten years holding roles as a software engineer and designer. David has enjoyed working in the heart of the games industry in Dundee for many years, but has also worked throughout the UK from, Brighton to Manchester and Newcastle. As well as work, he enjoys programming in my own time and likes making games with a fun and creative edge.
In the last few years, he has become increasingly interested in solving problems using data science techniques. There are a surprisingly large number of applications for such techniques in the games industry and he look forward to bring his expertise gained there to the problems of open data in the public sector."
