Understanding innovation
To shape policies that will put the UK at the forefront of innovation, policymakers need to be given accurate and relevant assessments of the national state of innovation.
We're particularly interested in looking at sectors of the economy and society that are currently neglected by traditional innovation policy, and the challenges faced by innovative early-stage businesses. We'll use our research to build a body of evidence about how best to support, measure and improve the UK's climate for innovation.
