We held a research workshop exploring the future of the personal data economy. This work is part of the DECODE project, which aims to create technology to give people better control of their personal data.

The workshop combined talks from pioneers in the area of personal data privacy and sharing, and scenario planning sessions in which attendees mapped out plausible future scenarios of the personal data economy in 2030. These scenarios will form a core part of a report we’ll be publishing in autumn 2017.

This blog series aims to share some of the resources from this workshop and features contributions from Sarah Gold, StJohn Deakins, Irene Ng and Reuben Binns.
