Rapid global change has lead to the need for a changed workforce and risk taking has been identified as a key skill the future workforce will require.

Subsequently, between late 2007 and early 2009 five pilot projects were supported by NESTA to learn more about the skills and attitudes necessary to encourage risk taking and innovation in mainstream education and informal learning settings.

The evaluation provides data on a number of overlapping learning outcomes across the five pilot projects, including the challenge of assessing risk-taking attitudes and how to embed an understanding of risk taking in education.
