Paul Vickery
Paul Vickery – Investment Director
Paul joined NESTA in November 2006. He has significant involvement in working with Boards of Directors in the UK, France, Germany, USA and Japan. He was a Director of 3i plc until 2001, leading an investment team with a substantial portfolio of technology assets. He has also led 3i’s activities in Japan as Senior Managing Director.
Paul has comprehensive experience in all aspects of private company funding; providing capital to start-ups, MBOs, LBOs and rescues. As an independent consultant, Paul developed a new approach to incorporating venture capital and portfolio management skills into multinational companies.
Paul is also Chairman of Ionex, a start-up division in The BOC Group, and a Director of Si-Light, a spin-out from the University of Surrey. He has a BSc in Engineering and a Diploma in Japanese Business Studies.
