October 2006 Patent Office Innovation Support Strategy
Response to Patent Office Innovation Support Strategy consultation document
October 2006
We strongly support the Patent Office's strategy to expand its scope of activities and partnerships to better support innovation. We encourage the shift from an emphasis on IP tactics (regulations and procedures) to supporting firms in IP strategy (understanding IP and incorporating it into businesses). Only through such a shift will UK entrepreneurs and innovators receive the type of support they need to fulfil their potential.
