In conversation with Steven Johnson

Best-selling author, Steven Johnson, talks to Paul Miller about his latest book, The Invention of Air.

The book tells the story of Joseph Priestly, one of the Founding Fathers, and also explores how innovative ideas emerge and spread.

All of Steven's six books bring to life the complex intersection of science, technology and personal experience and his writings have influenced everything from the way political campaigns use the Internet, to helping generate cutting-edge ideas in urban planning and fighting 21st-century terrorism.

Like his previous award-winning previous book, The Ghost Map, The Invention of Air uses a surprising historical and biological narrative to discuss ideas that profoundly shape our modern world and drive historic change.
