11/11/11 - Skimlinks raises $4.5 million Series B round
The in-text monetization platform for Web publishers, has raised $4.5 million in Series B funding help continue Skimlinks' rapid growth in existing and new vertical markets. The funding round was led by Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments (BDMI). In addition to BDMI, new investors 500startups and Venrex Investment Management and existing investors - Sussex Place Ventures, The Accelerator Group, and NESTA - also contributed to the latest funding round.

3/10/11 - Aquapharm and CABI sign collaborative agreement
Scottish marine biotechnology firm Aquapharm has signed an agreement with the Centre for Agricultural Bioscience International (CABI) which will allow the organisations to access and co-promote one another's unique microbe collections.

Plaxica announced that it raised a further £5 million in a Series B financing from Imperial Innovations, Invesco Perpetual and NESTA Investments. Philip Holbeche, Chairman of Plaxica, said the additional funding would be used to advance key aspects of the company's technology towards commercial implementation and licensing.
